Barcelona is actively evaluating seven different central defenders to address ongoing defensive vulnerabilities ahead of the winter transfer window. Sporting director Deco faces budgetary constraints that complicate mid-season recruitment, leading the club to explore temporary loan arrangements and financially accessible candidates.

The identified possibilities include Milan defender Fikayo Tomori, Manchester City squad member Vitor Reis, versatile defender Piero Hincapie, Manchester United player Lisandro Martinez, Paris Saint-Germain contributor Lucas Beraldo, and Chelsea utility option Jorrel Hato, alongside Jonathan Tah as a potential target.
