Baker Mayfield out of Thursday practice, Jalon Daniels again in line to start

Baker Mayfield remains sidelined as he recovers from a thumb dislocation, missing Thursday's practice session. While there was hope for an accelerated return, his absence suggests he is not yet prepared to handle the football.

Consequently, undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels is expected to lead the offense against Pittsburgh this Sunday. Mayfield has recorded 615 passing yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions this season, while also losing three fumbles.

Daniels, who secured his first win last week against Dallas, has thrown for 337 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions.
