Cricket Australia has unveiled a fourteen-player roster for upcoming bilateral fixtures against Bangladesh and New Zealand. Leadership duties will be shared, with Sophie Molineux appointed captain across formats alongside dual vice-captains Ashleigh Gardner and Tahlia McGrath, though Molineux's status remains subject to fitness evaluations regarding a hip issue.
Tahlia McGrath will lead the side for the fifty-over contests if Molineux cannot play, while Ashleigh Gardner stands ready to captain the twenty-over matches if necessary. Selection difficulties have also impacted availability, as Lucy Hamilton deals with a quad strain and Darcie Brown is sidelined due to a back problem.
The schedule features three fifty-over matches against Bangladesh followed by three twenty-over encounters against New Zealand. These fixtures serve as important preparation ahead of the upcoming ICC Women's Champions Trophy scheduled for India, offering batters valuable practice against subcontinent bowling styles.
The matches against Bangladesh will be hosted at Allan Border Field, while the fixtures against New Zealand are set to take place at North Sydney Oval.
