Austin Simmons And Missouri Eye Revenge In SEC Showdown

Missouri quarterback Austin Simmons, who transferred from Ole Miss after an injury cost him the Rebels’ starting job, is set to face his former team in Saturday’s SEC showdown. Simmons has thrown for 1,434 yards and 14 touchdowns while completing 107 of 165 passes with only one interception, helping the Tigers to a 5-1 record after bouncing back from a loss to Mississippi State with wins over Florida and Texas A&M.

Missouri’s offense is bolstered by running back Jamal Roberts, who has surpassed 800 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, and wide receiver Cayden Lee, a former Ole Miss transfer who has caught 42 passes for 616 yards and five scores. The Rebels, led by Heisman candidate Kewan Lacy and coached by Trinidad Chambliss, have amassed 1,435 yards and 11 touchdowns, setting up a high‑scoring duel as both sides look to prove their offensive firepower.
