Arizona Cardinals place Will Johnson injured reserve, sign Starling Thomas off of practice squad

The Arizona Cardinals suffered a major blow when starting defensive back Will Johnson sustained a neck injury during a 31-7 defeat against the Seattle Seahawks. Head coach Mike LaFleur announced that the young cornerback is expected to miss the remainder of the campaign.

In response to the roster vacancy, the franchise moved Johnson to the injured reserve list and promoted Starling Thomas from the practice squad.
