Arizona Cardinals supporters are expressing optimism regarding the organization's overall trajectory as the 2026 campaign kicks off. Following a difficult 3-14 campaign last year, the franchise enters the new season facing modest outside expectations despite boasting skilled offensive contributors.
Head coach Mike LaFleur has finalized roster decisions for crucial personnel ahead of their season-opening road matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, who enter the year following back-to-back 11-win campaigns.
On the field, tight end Trey McBride is aiming to energize Arizona's bid for an opening-week road upset, while the Chargers counter behind quarterback Justin Herbert as a new chapter begins for their squad. In other recent sporting events noted around the league and nation, Texas pulled off an upset over Ohio State, Oklahoma State took down Oregon, and Elena Rybakina defeated Aryna Sabalenka.
