
The AP Top 25 Poll saw dramatic shifts this week, with three unranked teams—Kentucky, UCLA, and Wake Forest—making their debuts after strong performances. Kentucky, now at No.
15, earned its spot with a thrilling overtime win over LSU, while UCLA surged nine places to No. 12 after defeating Oregon.
Wake Forest also entered the rankings at No. 21, following a dominant 38-14 victory over NC State.
Meanwhile, Iowa climbed to No. 17 after a 41-24 win over Washington, and USC held steady at No.
19 despite a recent home loss to Oregon. The biggest drop came for Texas, which fell six spots to No.
7 after a loss to Oklahoma, while Florida and Oregon fell out of the rankings entirely. Indiana took over as the new No.
1, with Miami and Notre Dame rounding out the top three after another week of standout performances.
