Anthony Volpe in play for Yankees Game 1 start — leaving Jazz Chisholm on bench again

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone faces a tough lineup choice for Tuesday's opening postseason game against southpaw Payton Tolle, weighing whether to start right-handed hitting infielder Anthony Volpe or left-handed hitting Jazz Chisholm Jr. at second base.

Chisholm, who recently returned from a right thumb injury that limited him to just twelve plate appearances following a stint on the injured list, acknowledged he would be disappointed to sit, pointing to his status as a competitive player in playoff baseball.
