Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the final fixture of the home series against West Indies due to a hamstring injury sustained while bowling five overs in Guwahati on September 30. Despite an eight-wicket victory in that fixture, Krishna will miss the series decider scheduled for October 3 in New Chandigarh and will not make the journey.
Chennai Super Kings fast bowler Anshul Kamboj has been named as his replacement, departing the India A camp early after returning figures of 3 for 34 in 17.3 overs and two scoreless overs in his recent outing. Kamboj previously finished as the leading wicket-taker for Chennai Super Kings during the 2026 Indian Premier League campaign and made his sole international appearance in a Test against England in Manchester in July 2025.
While Mohammed Siraj stands as the primary candidate to fill the vacant spot in the playing XI after sitting out the first two matches, Kamboj could potentially earn his maiden white-ball cap if management decides to alter the bowling attack following Auqib Nabi Dar's debut performance.
