Alex Marquez makes “unacceptable” gear-shifting mistake twice in wretched Japanese GP

Alex Marquez’s Japanese Grand Prix weekend ended in frustration after a costly gear-shifting error forced him out of the race. The Ducati rider admitted to making a critical mistake while navigating a corner, calling it an ‘unacceptable’ blunder that derailed his entire run.

It marked his first points-less outing since the season opener in Thailand, compounding a weekend where he failed to register a single point at Motegi. His struggles began as early as Saturday’s sprint session, where he struggled to find rhythm in qualifying and the race.
