After summer of adoration, Knicks get back to business of title defense

Following a memorable summer celebration that included celebrity events and national television appearances, the New York Knicks held their opening media session at their practice facility thirty minutes north of New York City. Head coach Mike Brown addressed reporters as the roster prepares for a title defense, returning nine of their top ten contributors from the squad that defeated the San Antonio Spurs to end a fifty-three-year championship drought.

While key defender Mitchell Robinson departed for the Boston Celtics, veteran Andre Drummond arrived to bolster the frontline ahead of their October twentieth season opener at Madison Square Garden against the Philadelphia 76ers.
