Abus Magomedov explains UFC 333 celebration, Gregory Rodrigues callout

Abus Magomedov secured a dominant first-round submission victory over Cameron Rowston at UFC 333, finishing the bout with a choke that rendered his opponent unconscious. Following the win, Magomedov performed a celebratory flex, which he noted was an improvised move rather than a deliberate homage to Nate Diaz.

Despite his impressive performance, Magomedov did not receive a Performance of the Night bonus, a financial outcome he discussed after previously being advised by his team to avoid requesting such awards publicly.

Looking ahead, Magomedov has expressed interest in a matchup against Gregory Rodrigues to continue his climb toward a title opportunity. With five wins in his last six appearances, the fighter maintains that he is prepared to face any top-15 middleweight opponent to advance his career.
