During the third T20 international encounter against New Zealand in Wellington, Indian opener Abhishek Sharma put on a remarkable exhibition of power-hitting. He raced to his half-century in just 15 deliveries before reaching a blistering century off 35 balls, eventually departing after accumulating 113 runs from 38 deliveries.
His aggressive knock included nine boundaries and 11 towering sixes, propelling the touring side forward.
Assisted by a massive opening partnership of 133 runs alongside partner Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Sharma helped dismantle the opposing bowling attack. India ultimately secured a six-wicket victory in the fixture, which established an unassailable 3-0 advantage in the ongoing five-game series.
