Azan Awais has emphatically broken his prolonged slump by converting a recent unbeaten fifty into a massive 167-run innings during a domestic fixture. After struggling significantly following his Test debut earlier in the year, the young opener anchored his side's total of 347 by batting for over six hours and sharing a crucial partnership with Omair Bin Yousuf.
Following their batting collapse toward the end of the innings, opposition bowlers led by Muhammad Shhazad made early inroads into the batting order. By the time play reached the second day, the bowling side had reduced their opponents to a precarious position while still trailing heavily.
