3 Suns preseason storylines I can’t wait to watch unfold

Phoenix basketball is almost back as the squad prepares for its opening exhibition contest against Detroit in the Motor City. Attention heading into the five-game preseason schedule centers on the battle for the center spot, rookie utilization, and roster spots.

Contenders like Oso Ighodaro and Khaman Maluach hope to secure the primary role, while CJ Huntley and Duop Reath vie for remaining roster security. Meanwhile, first-round selection Koa Peat prepares for his debut, with observers watching whether his ball-handling skills will be unlocked differently than Ryan Dunn's three-and-D assignment.
