'Young, hungry' White Sox come of age and dismantle a dynasty in the process

The Chicago White Sox secured their first postseason series win since 2005 by defeating the Houston Astros 7-3 on Wednesday, September 30, completing a two-game wild-card sweep. Manager Will Venable's squad established a four-run lead in the opening frame before Chase Meidroth sealed the victory with a three-run homer in the sixth inning.

Despite solo shots from Jeremy Peña, Cam Smith, and Jose Altuve, Houston failed to overcome the early deficit.
