Charley Hull, the three-time LPGA champion and fan favorite, shared a hilarious and unexpected story about her first tattoo, which she acquired during a wild night in Ibiza at just 17 years old. The future golf legend, known for her candid personality and love of pranks, revealed in a Golfweek interview that she woke up the next morning with a tattoo on her foot—one she had no memory of getting.
Hull and her friend James had been partying late, and she impulsively decided she wanted a tattoo of their catchphrase, *'Hold tight,'* but across her forehead. James, thankfully, talked her out of the risky idea, settling on her foot instead.
The revelation came when Hull noticed a wrapped foot upon waking, only to learn from James that she’d already gotten inked the night before while too drunk to remember. Hull’s second tattoo, her ex-husband’s name on her wrist, has been a source of regret, while her third—a lightning bolt shared with fellow English pro Georgia Hall—remains a cherished keepsake.
On the course, Hull has maintained her strong form, earning four top-10 finishes on the LPGA this season, including a tied-second at the U.S. Women’s Open, and recently won the PIF Saudi Ladies International on the Ladies European Tour in February.
