'Possessed' Davidson fills Weir gap as Scots set up glamour Sweden tie

Lauren Davidson stepped up for Scotland in their 3-2 victory over the Czech Republic, securing a 5-2 aggregate win and a play-off match against Sweden. Despite the late withdrawal of captain Caroline Weir due to injury and Erin Cuthbert only appearing as a second-half substitute, Davidson netted a crucial goal to help her side advance toward the 2027 World Cup.

Kathleen McGovern also contributed to the scoreline as Scotland successfully adjusted their tactical setup to overcome their missing stars. Davidson, who currently plays in Norway, continues to be a key figure for the national team as they prepare for their upcoming challenge against the Swedish squad.
