Jayden Daniels ruled out after elbow injury vs. Cowboys in disastrous end-of-half sequence

Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels suffered a serious left elbow injury right before halftime against Dallas and will not return for the remainder of the contest. The signal-caller was carted off wearing an air cast while shielding his face with a towel after his arm took an awkward brunt while trying to brace a fall at the opponent one-yard line.

Marcus Mariota will take over under center for Washington as the squad attempts to overcome the loss and bounce back from a sluggish start to the year. Prior to his exit, Daniels had completed eleven of sixteen passes for ninety-six yards and a touchdown alongside sixty-nine rushing yards.
