‘False and defamatory’: Vansh Bedi denies being unnamed man in fixing, information leak sting

Delhi wicketkeeper Vansh Bedi has strongly pushed back against internet speculation linking him to a recent undercover investigation regarding leaked team details in cricket. Bedi, who spent time with the Chennai Super Kings during the 2025 Indian Premier League season and later played for the Central Delhi Kings, issued a formal denial on social media, labeling any efforts to connect him to the inquiry as entirely untrue and defamatory.

His legal representatives are currently initiating civil and criminal proceedings against those spreading the assertions.

The controversy intensified after former domestic participant Rachit Bhatia alleged during an undercover probe that he acquired confidential playing lineup secrets from a franchise acquaintance and transmitted them to London bookmakers through Snapchat. Bhatia claimed large financial gains across multiple fixtures, though the initial investigation never explicitly named Bedi.
