Following a first-round playoff elimination, eight members of the Indiana Fever's 15-player roster have secured commitments to continue their seasons in alternative leagues. Lexie Hull, Monique Billings, and All-Star center Aliyah Boston are set to participate in the third season of Unrivaled, a 3x3 competition that will expand to eight cities including Los Angeles and New York between January and March.
Boston's participation timeline remains uncertain due to a recent arthroscopic surgery to repair a meniscus injury in her right knee, a condition that persisted throughout the WNBA campaign. Meanwhile, Sophie Cunningham, Kelsey Mitchell, and Makayla Timpson have signed on for the inaugural season of Project B, a global 5-on-5 tournament running from January through April 2027.
The new league has reportedly offered top players salaries of up to $2 million, exceeding the WNBA's current maximum. Additionally, Bree Hall will compete for Rutronik Stars Keltern in Germany, while Michelle Onyiah joins SPAR Girona in Spain.
Caitlin Clark is not expected to play in any offseason league but has indicated she will actively support the team's free agency recruitment efforts.
