What we learned from Wales' Nations League window

Craig Bellamy has expressed frustration regarding the Nations League schedule, arguing that the condensed four-match window disproportionately disadvantages smaller squads. The manager faced significant personnel challenges as injuries to Harry Wilson, Joe Rodon, and David Brooks limited his rotation options, forcing a reliance on substitutes from the third tier of English football.

Following a loss to Denmark, midfielder Jordan James noted a lack of intensity, while low attendance figures at the recent home fixture have raised concerns about the financial impact of the current tournament format. Wales remains in third place in their group after the latest round of matches, with the same structure set to return for Euro 2028 qualifying next year.
