During the second T20I match against New Zealand, Shreyas Iyer missed a routine catch at mid-off while Prince Yadav was bowling in the 11th over. The error granted Bevon Jacobs a reprieve while he was on 20 runs, allowing him to eventually contribute 58 runs from 46 balls.
Jacobs partnered with Glenn Phillips, who scored 70 off 43, to build a 116-run stand that helped the hosts reach a total of 180/5. Despite the pressure, India secured a win after Tilak Varma successfully navigated the final overs against bowlers Jacob Duffy and Nathan Smith.
