Washington is turning to Elijah Brown as their starting quarterback for the upcoming road game against Purdue. This change follows a rib injury sustained by Demond Williams Jr.
during last week's 41-24 defeat to Iowa, though Williams may still be available as a substitute. Brown, a transfer from Stanford, earned the start after completing 28 of 39 passes for 251 yards and three scores in relief duty last Saturday.
Head coach Jedd Fisch is looking to revitalize the Huskies' offense following three consecutive conference losses. The team hopes Brown can provide a spark against the Boilermakers as the program seeks to establish better offensive consistency.
