Video: A full dozen UFC Edmonton record-tying stoppages

UFC Edmonton delivered a record-breaking night of action, tying the modern era’s highest number of finishes with 12 stoppages across 13 fights. The event, held at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, saw the main event feature a dominant performance by Mike Malott, who secured a brutal second-round knockout of Joaquin Buckley via a devastating knee strike.

Malott’s victory not only capped an explosive card but also earned him the $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus, solidifying his rise as a top-tier contender in the welterweight division. The event’s record-setting finishes also created fierce competition for post-fight awards, with multiple fighters vying for recognition in a night that redefined UFC’s return to Canada.
