Valkyries Star's Repeated Offense Leaves Rhyne Howard Floored, Dream Teammates Rush to Shield with Towels in WNBA Finals

During Game 6 of the WNBA Finals, a physical sequence in the third quarter resulted in a flagrant foul against Golden State Valkyries guard Veronica Burton. While Atlanta Dream guard Rhyne Howard drove toward the basket, Burton made contact from behind that caused Howard to fall hard to the court.

Following a video review, officials determined the contact was unnecessary and awarded Howard two free throws, which she successfully converted.
