UCLA has secured another high-profile commitment in the 2028 recruiting class, as four-star linebacker Kaiden Buchanan announced his decision to join the Bruins. The Mississippi native, hailing from Tupelo, chose UCLA over top programs like LSU, Notre Dame, and Kentucky after a return visit to Los Angeles.
Buchanan cited the defensive system, strong coaching relationships, and the vision of head coach Bob Chesney as key factors in his decision. His pledge adds to UCLA’s growing momentum under Chesney, who has already led the Bruins to a 6-0 start in his first season, including a recent Big Ten win over Wisconsin.
The team remains undefeated and is currently ranked No. 12 in the AP poll, marking a historic turnaround for the program.
