During a recent media day in Camden, Tyrese Maxey was spotted waiting for a ride on the curb outside the team facility. The All-NBA guard joked about the contrast between his situation and LeBron James, who departed the site via a helicopter from the team owner's private pad.

Maxey has navigated significant turbulence since entering the league in 2020, including coaching changes, trade rumors involving James Harden and Kyle Lowry, and the departure of Ben Simmons. After earning his first All-Star selection and Most Improved Player honors following Harden's exit, Maxey achieved All-NBA status in 2026 and recently became a father.
