Jesús Made, the top-ranked prospect in the sport, showcased his talent in the Dominican Winter League on Friday by hitting a home run during his first plate appearance. The 19-year-old infielder, who recorded 44 extra-base hits and 37 stolen bases at the Double-A level this past season, followed that performance with a single in his subsequent at-bat.
