Sheff Utd battle to narrow win at Bristol City

Sheffield United secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Bristol City in the Championship, with Oliver Arblaster’s fifth-minute strike proving decisive. The Blades took the lead after a headed clearance fell to Arblaster, who volleyed past goalkeeper Sam Tickle with a composed finish.

Despite Bristol City’s early chances—including a missed penalty appeal by Yu Hirakawa—the visitors controlled the midfield and defended resolutely, leaving the Robins frustrated after another goalless home defeat in as many weeks. Manager Chris Wilder made five changes, including the return of midfielder Luke McNally to the starting lineup for the first time since his February 2025 knee injury, while Arblaster’s goal marked his first for the club in this campaign.
