Sharks Captain Macklin Celebrini Will Be A Game-Time Decision Against Blues

The San Jose Sharks face another defensive challenge tonight as captain Macklin Celebrini’s availability remains uncertain ahead of their matchup against the St. Louis Blues.

Celebrini, who missed two straight practices, participated in an optional skate but is still a game-time decision after being scratched late in Monday’s 5-0 loss to the Dallas Stars. The Sharks, currently allowing four goals per game, will lean on forwards like Will Smith and Michael Misa if Celebrini sits out, though their defensive struggles persist despite off-season blueline upgrades.

Meanwhile, the Blues—who lost to a Connor Bedard-less Chicago Blackhawks—look to capitalize on San Jose’s offensive vulnerabilities, especially if Celebrini is absent. The Sharks managed just 13 shots in their last outing, and the Blues’ top line of Robert Thomas, Dylan Holloway, and Jimmy Snuggerud will aim to build momentum after a slow start to the season.
