Salah to miss Egypt game because of artificial pitch

Mohamed Salah will not feature in Egypt's upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Sudan due to concerns over the artificial pitch in Juba. The national team coaching staff opted to protect the veteran forward following their recent stalemate with Angola in Cairo, choosing to rest him for the fixture scheduled for September 29.

Salah recently transitioned from Liverpool to Turkish side Trabzonspor, where he has maintained strong early-season form.
