Root back in top ten of ODI batting rankings; Rohit closes in on top three

Joe Root has returned to the top ten of the ICC ODI batting rankings, while Rohit Sharma is moving closer to securing a spot among the leading three players. At the summit of the table, Daryl Mitchell occupies the number one position. Just trailing Mitchell are Indian batters Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli, who hold steady in second and third place, respectively.
