The Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills will face off in a matchup where red zone efficiency and ball security could dictate the outcome. The Bills have been dominant inside the 20-yard line, ranking ninth in the NFL with a 68.75% touchdown rate in the red zone this season—consistent with their second-best league finish in 2023.
Meanwhile, the Rams have struggled in this area, dropping to 21st with just a 53.33% touchdown conversion rate, down from a 64.37% clip last year. Beyond scoring, both quarterbacks have been problematic in turnover situations.
Josh Allen leads the Bills in risky throws, ranking sixth-worst in turnover-worthy plays (TWP) but has only thrown three interceptions despite eight such plays. Matthew Stafford, however, has been far less fortunate, throwing twice as many interceptions (six) on eight TWPs, ranking 14th from the bottom in the league.
With the Rams hosting and favored by 2.5 points, the team’s ability to capitalize in short-yardage situations and avoid costly mistakes will be critical to overcoming Buffalo’s red zone prowess and Allen’s dual-threat mobility inside the end zone.
