Ravens rookie WR Ja’Kobi Lane to undergo wrist surgery

Baltimore Ravens first-year wideout Ja'Kobi Lane is slated for surgical repair on a broken wrist sustained during his professional debut. The twenty-two-year-old managed to haul in a four-yard score before exiting the Week 1 victory, where Baltimore defeated the Indianapolis Colts 41-23 at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The club, striving to bounce back after failing to reach the playoffs last season, now faces extended time without the promising newcomer.

Lane was not the only member of the receiving corps to sustain a setback in the contest. Veteran wide receiver Zay Flowers re-injured the hamstring issue that hindered him during summer practices, having already posted 150 yards across two quarters of action.

While Lane is officially sidelined, Baltimore holds open the possibility that Flowers could dress for the upcoming Sunday matchup.
