Raiders’ defense is key against Chargers’ offense
Following an opening-week defeat to the Arizona Cardinals, the Los Angeles Chargers are seeking their first victory of the season in an upcoming Week 2 divisional clash against the Las Vegas Raiders. Offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel expressed surprise at his group's subpar execution during their initial outing, calling the performance shocking as the unit attempts to rebound alongside quarterback Justin Herbert.
Meanwhile, the Raiders enter the road matchup aiming to advance to a 2-0 record on the year.
A central focus of Sunday's game centers on how the Las Vegas defense handles Los Angeles's passing attack led by Herbert. At the same time, the Raiders' offensive line faces the difficult task of managing the Chargers' defensive front, which features edge rushers Khalil Mack and Tuli Tuipulotu.
