Player Grades: Lakers vs. Blazers

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered their first loss of the young season after falling 136-129 to the Portland Trail Blazers. Despite an offensive explosion featuring 41 points from Luka Doncic and 26 points from Austin Reaves, LA could not overcome a porous defensive effort that allowed Portland to convert 59 percent of its field goal attempts.

Individual performances varied across the roster, highlighted by strong outings from Ziaire Williams and Reaves, contrasted with tougher nights for Matisse Thybulle and Walker Kessler.
