The New England Patriots have activated wide receiver A.J. Brown and offensive tackle Marcus Bryant from injured reserve, granting them a 21-day window to return to the active roster.
Brown, 29, suffered a high ankle sprain in the season opener against the Seattle Seahawks and has been sidelined for four games. In his lone appearance this season, he caught three passes for 26 yards before being placed on injured reserve.
Brown, a three-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion, was acquired in a trade from the Philadelphia Eagles in June, bringing experience and a career marked by 527 receptions, 8,055 yards, and 56 touchdowns over 106 games. Meanwhile, Bryant, a 24-year-old swing tackle, was designated for return after missing preseason due to an injury sustained in the first exhibition game.
The Patriots’ depth chart now includes veteran receiver Mack Hollins on injured reserve as well, leaving a limited group of receivers—Romeo Doubs, DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism III, and Kyle Williams—available to cover the position.
