Panthers get reinforcements out of the bye as they get ready for the Eagles

October 15, 2026

The Panthers used their early bye to get a wave of injured players back on the practice field. Taylor Moton returned to full speed after recovering from a blood‑clot issue in his lungs, while rookie right tackle Monroe Freeling, who had missed the start of the week, rejoined the drills.

Defensive linemen Tershawn Wharton and Jaelan Phillips also reported to the field after neck surgery and a hamstring strain, respectively, and Damien Lewis was seen in limited action following an elbow problem. Running backs AJ Dillon and Trevor Etienne, along with Thomas Incoom, are expected to add depth, and Jalen Coker is cleared to practice after recent knocks.

The injury list shows several players still sidelined, including Taylor Moton’s earlier lung issue, Monroe Freeling’s knee, and the various limited‑participation designations for Phillips, Lewis and others. The Panthers hope the added bodies will solidify the roster ahead of their upcoming matchup with the Eagles.
