Oregon Ducks offensive lineman Dave Iuli, a fifth-year senior, is stepping into a pivotal mentorship role as the team’s offensive line navigates a significant turnover. With only two returning starters from last season—including Iuli—and a rotation dominated by freshmen like Immanuel Iheanacho, Tommy Tofi, and Koloi Keli, along with sophomores Ziyare Addison and Douglas Utu, the unit has struggled for consistency.
Iuli, who returned from a torn triceps injury and is now fully healthy, emphasized the importance of veteran leadership in guiding younger players through the learning curve, reducing the burden on coaches by answering repetitive questions and reinforcing expectations on and off the field. His experience, paired with that of center Iapani Laloulu and other upperclassmen, aims to stabilize the line and preserve the legacy of Oregon’s offensive line program, known as 'The Law Firm.'
