The Oregon football program is preparing to debut a unique uniform combination this weekend. Titled the Origin of Speed, this kit serves as the concluding piece of a three-year design collaboration with Nike.
The special apparel borrows aesthetic elements from Hayward Field, which previously hosted the football team for decades and remains central to the athletic department's track legacy. Team members such as defensive back Aaron Flowers collaborated on the development during a multi-year creative process.
For their upcoming conference fixture, the squad will wear these alternate threads while hosting a ranked opponent. Kickoff is scheduled for the afternoon at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, where the home team aims to extend a long historical advantage in the matchup.
Roster adjustments include a change at quarterback for the hosts as preparations conclude for the weekend contest.
