Odell Beckham Jr. hilariously ties his new Vikings jersey number to Justin Jefferson

Odell Beckham Jr. joined the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad and will wear jersey number 9, a digit previously assigned to rookie quarterback J.J.

McCarthy before his trade to the New York Giants. Beckham quipped that he chose the number because “Justin got half his game from me,” referencing fellow wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

Beckham, who was released by the New York Giants on Sept. 29, arrived in Eagan, Minnesota, for his first practice where Jefferson was limited after a sprained ankle. Jordan Addison also sat out due to minor hamstring soreness, while the new addition gives the Vikings extra depth at receiver.
