Notes and Quotes from James Franklin's Sept. 29 Post-Practice Media Availability

Virginia Tech head coach James Franklin addressed the media following Tuesday's practice as his team prepares to host Pitt in pursuit of a 5-0 start matching their 2005 campaign. Franklin detailed significant fluidity along the offensive line due to injuries, noting that Johnny Garrett remains sidelined long-term without having played a snap in 2025, Justin Terry is out for a couple of weeks, and guards Montavious Cunningham and Brody Meadows were held out of one-on-one drills.

In response to these frontline absences, center Michael Troutman III stepped into action for his initial career snaps following a summer injury setback that previously halted his bid for a starting role.
