The Los Angeles Dodgers are driving significant postseason interest, with their Game 1 matchup against the Atlanta Braves drawing 5.37 million viewers on Fox. This figure marks the highest audience for a Division Series opener since the 2018 Yankees-Red Sox contest and represents a 20% increase over the same time slot last year, despite a weaker lead-in program.
However, league-wide viewership for the Division Series has slipped 3% to an average of 3.27 million through Monday. Outside of Los Angeles, audiences have generally declined; the Yankees-Tampa Bay Rays opener attracted 3.51 million viewers, a 25% drop from the previous year's Dodgers-Phillies game in the same evening window.
Even the Dodgers experienced a dip in their second game, which averaged 3.33 million viewers on FS1, down 6% from the comparable 2025 Tigers-Mariners contest. The San Diego Padres-Milwaukee Brewers series showed mixed results, with Game 1 reaching 2.50 million viewers and Game 2 settling at 2.14 million.
Meanwhile, the Chicago White Sox-Cleveland Guardians opener held steady at 2.1 million viewers, mirroring the previous year's Cubs-Brewers performance in the same afternoon slot.
