Mike Macdonald apologizes to Sean Payton for viral story about cheating accusation he 'didn't intend for public use'

Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald expressed regret after a private conversation became public, in which he discussed a previous dispute with Denver Broncos counterpart Sean Payton. Macdonald shared that Payton had accused Seattle of illicit scouting practices involving fan-recorded social media videos prior to their 2024 opening matchup, a game the Seahawks ultimately won 26-20.

The disagreement nearly escalated into legal action before both sides moved past the incident.
