Medvedev beats longtime rival Tsitsipas and advances to Shanghai Masters quarterfinals

Daniil Medvedev secured a spot in the Shanghai Masters quarterfinals by defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5. This victory marks his third consecutive year reaching this stage of the tournament, joining an elite group that includes Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray.

Meanwhile, 20-year-old Rafael Jodar continued his impressive run by overcoming a one-set deficit to eliminate Botic van de Zandschulp, setting up a clash with Casper Ruud after Ruud advanced due to Felix Auger-Aliassime withdrawing with a knee injury.
