Head coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed the Houston Texans have acquired wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals.
The trade involves Houston sending a 2027 second-round pick, currently 39th overall, to Arizona, while also swapping sixth-round picks for seventh-round selections in that same draft. This move aims to bolster a Houston passing attack that has struggled to establish a consistent rushing presence alongside quarterback C.J.
Stroud. While Nico Collins remains the primary target in the Texans' offense, the addition of Harrison Jr.
is expected to integrate into a receiving corps that already features Xavier Hutchinson, Kayshon Boutte, and Jaylin Noel. Although the team faces a difficult 1-4 start, the organization is looking to optimize its aerial efficiency by adding another big-bodied threat to the rotation.
