Manchester United has begun marketing mementos sourced directly from their historic home ground, offering supporters encased sections of the playing surface for one hundred twenty-five pounds apiece. The initial supply offered to the public was cleared out immediately.
This commercial effort coincides with financial figures revealing total indebtedness exceeding one billion pounds, alongside a pre-tax deficit of forty-three million pounds despite setting a revenue high of six hundred seventy-seven point six million pounds and an operating profit of twenty-two point six million pounds for the 2025-26 period. Additional capital allocations include sixty-three point five million pounds directed toward property acquisition for a planned arena development anticipated to surpass two billion pounds in total expenditures.
The playing field itself underwent a complete excavation down to its base during the summer months for the first time in over a decade, allowing portions of the grass to be encased inside glass displays housed within dark presentation boxes.
