Longhorns Daily News: Former Texas RB Ricky Williams joins SEC football’s ‘Legends Class’

Former Texas running back Ricky Williams has been selected for the 2026 Southeastern Conference Football Legends Class, a distinction presented by T-Mobile. He joins a cohort of 16 former players and coaches who will be recognized at events held in Atlanta during the SEC Football Championship Game in December.

Williams becomes the third Longhorn to receive this honor, following quarterback Vince Young in 2024 and linebacker Derrick Johnson in 2025. The broader 2026 class features notable figures such as Nick Saban, Patrick Peterson, and Billy Sims, representing a mix of Heisman winners, national champions, and NFL standouts from various SEC institutions.
