Liverpool and Man Utd eye Nmecha - Tuesday's gossip

Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United are both monitoring Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha, with reports suggesting the 26-year-old could be a target for either club. Liverpool, in particular, are reportedly eyeing Nmecha as a potential replacement for Alex Scott, who plays for Bournemouth.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa are nearing a deal to extend Emiliano Buendía’s contract, following encouraging progress in negotiations with the 29-year-old Argentina international. The club’s interest in retaining the midfielder comes as they look to solidify their squad ahead of the new season.

Elsewhere, Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold is reportedly considering his future at Real Madrid, with frustration over limited playing time fueling speculation about a potential return to England. Manchester United, meanwhile, are reportedly monitoring Roma’s Brazilian full-back Wesley as a potential January transfer target.

The club also face uncertainty over their managerial future, with Antonio Conte emerging as a potential replacement for Michael Carrick if he is sacked. Additionally, 16-year-old forward JJ Gabriel’s exit from United appears imminent, with Real Madrid leading the race to sign him, though Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also interested.

Former Spain and Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is exploring a return to La Liga, with Getafe identified as a potential destination for the 40-year-old veteran.
